Where solar helps

Solar directly offsets the kWh portion of your bill. On homes with high, consistent usage — often driven by A/C, EVs, or all-electric appliances — solar can meaningfully lower total monthly cost, and in some rate structures dramatically so.

Where solar does not help

Solar does not remove fixed monthly service charges, does not fix inefficient equipment, and does not automatically provide backup power without a battery. On homes with small, seasonal, or highly variable usage, solar economics are weaker.
