Executive summary

This report describes patterns in 128 residential solar proposals homeowners shared with Front Range Solar Guide during the first half of 2026. It is not a random sample of Colorado homeowners. All figures are aggregate; no individual proposal, homeowner, or address is disclosed. Key descriptive observations: dealer-fee inclusion is common on financed proposals, escalator use on lease/PPA proposals is near-universal, and total-cost framing is significantly less common than monthly-payment framing.

Limitations

Sample is self-selected. Homeowners who shared proposals may differ systematically from those who did not. Not representative of Colorado overall.

Confidence notes

Descriptive statistics only. No inferential claims are made about the broader Colorado homeowner population.
